While paying a courtesy call to the Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa in Abuja, Taal added that there were several Nigerians in Gambia who are adding a value his country.
According to a statement signed by the Head, Media and Public Relations Unit, NIDCOM, the Gambian Envoy therefore made a case for strong communication link between Gambians and Nigerians living in the Diaspora for social and economic development.
While commending the NIDCOM Boss for working hard to bridge the gap between Nigeria and her diasporas, the envoy added, “This is because you are not here to build walls but bridges. ”
While responding, Hon. Dabiri-Erewa
said the denominator for both countries are Human Capital Development and expressed eagerness for continued working relationship with the Gambia.
Dabiri-Erewa added that she was looking forward to working with Ambassador Taal in building the Commission to achieve her core mandates.
