Father’s day to many people hold different memories and meanings. For Nigerian senator, Men Murray-Bruce, it was an opportunity on this past occasion to remember his dad, who died 32 years ago.
According to the Senator, in 1980 his father loaned him ₦20,000 to set up Silverbird, which now employs 1015 people all earning above the Nigerian minimum wage of N18, 000.
Interesting, isn’t it? O yeah, it speaks volumes about the road from which the successful entrepreneur and distinguished senator has travelled. Success indeed surely comes with the right mindset, determination and a firm belief in one’s dream.
According to Ben, his father, William Murray-Bruce, who died on March 9, 1986 raised him with love and affection and was the greatest dad ever.
The senator took to Twitter to eulogize his father.
