Janet Jackson is slated to receive a major honor on Nov. 4 at the 2018 MTV EMAs in Bilbao, Spain, when the pop superstar picks up this year’s global icon award.
The singer is also slated to perform a greatest hits medley at the event, including her recent single “Made For Now,” for what will be her first EMAs performance.
Jackson will join the prestigious list of past global icon recipients, which include U2, Green Day and Whitney Houston. The honor at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre will come just months after Jackson received the icon award at May’s Billboard Music Awards.
The 2019 MTV EMAs will be hosted by Hailee Steinfeld.
