Big Two: Microsoft Office competition winners move to represent Nigeria in New York

The six winners from Nigeria who participated in the 2019 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship held in the country will represent the country at the World Championship which will take place in New York in July.
The championship is organized annually in Nigeria by ReadManna Empowerment Initiative and sponsored by Zenith Bank.
The MOS World Championship challenges students to demonstrate their proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Versions 2013 and 2016.
The championship is open to all students from the age of 13 and 22 years that are enrolled in an academic institution.
The winners of the competition include
Ayomide Abiodun and Pwahatado Vawe, from Aduvie International School, Abuja, (PowerPoint 2013) (Excel 2013)
Mbah Arinzechukwu Nnamdi, Iyke-Osuji Victor Chibuzor, and Udonsak Ubongabasi John from Faith Academy (Word 2016) (Excel 2016) (PowerPoint 2016)
Laah Asat Shawn from Regent Secondary School, Abuja (Word 2013).
In addition, the students would be accompanied to New York with their ITCs teachers.

Nigeria opens camp for African Para Championship
The Nigerian Para-athletes have commenced camping ahead of the forthcoming African Para Championship set to hold in Tunisia this month.

London 2012 Paralympian, Unyime Christopher Uwak, who is also in camp assured that the athletes are battle-ready for the challenge in Tunis.
Quoting the world Championship star:
“It is every athlete’s dream to make the cut to Tokyo, so we know what is at stake and we would ensure we make the country proud.
“So far, the camping is on in Lagos. We train at the National Stadium and we are scheduled to depart the country for Tunisia on Monday, June 24”.
Other athletes in camp include Lauretta Onye, Ifeanyi Christian and Ifeyinwa Flora and the trios are Paralympics gold medalist.
Nigeria will vie for honors in 100m, 200m, 400m and shot put. The championship is the final qualifier for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
