Nigerian rapper Falz has announced his plans to thrill his fans at the second edition of his concert; The Falz Experience 2.
The 5-hour live concert will feature acts from the host and other acts from friends of the host. These other acts include Ycee and Simi, amongst others. These artists will delight over 10,000 fans at the Eko Convention Center on the 8th of June, 2019.
The debut edition of the show reportedly draughted a whopping amount of N300 million. The first edition raised the concert experience in Nigeria. Consequently, the follow-up edition promises to be even more thrilling.
Speaking on his reason for putting the fans at the center of the edition, Falz the Bahd guy said; “My fans are my heartbeat, the core of my career. I am nobody without their love and support. And that’s why I’m putting the Falz Experience together, just for them. I would love to get comments and ideas from them on how we can improve and make the event bigger and better. The idea behind the Falz Experience is to bring all their thoughts together to forge a fantastic show. It’s a music concert that will incorporate numerous elements of my art. I have received support from the many colleagues in the industry I have collaborated with and of course, my fans”.
Folarin Falana, widely known as Falz, is known for his comical intonation. He has featured in movies like ‘Chief Daddy’, and the popular soap opera ‘Jennifer’s Diaries’. He’s a law graduate from the University of Reading. He began his musical career in secondary school when he, alongside his friends, created a musical group called ‘The School Boys’.
Over the years, Falz has proven beyond the need for the assertion that he can become the next Fela of this generation through his lyrics. His songs tackle societal issues, just like the icon he’s compared with. His singles like Wehdone Sir, Soldier, Soft Work, Bad Gang, Something Light, Karishika amongst others and a critically acclaimed album, Moral Instruction, have earned him not only organic airplay. Even more, they have helped Falz to weld a niche in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
