The renowned Nigerian record label, Mavins Record, clocked 7 years on Wednesday. And the Founder – Don Jazzy – has shown his heart of appreciation to fans of the group via Instagram.

Micheal Collins Ajereh – widely known as Don Jazzy – founded the label on the 8th of May, 2012. He did this following the shutdown of Mo’Hits Records, which was owned by the aforementioned producer and D’Banj.

The iconic record producer took to his Instagram to share his profound gratitude message which reads, “we would like to say a big thank you to all our business partners and loyal fans for the love, trust and support through the years”.

“Marvin Records becomes seven today and I’m so proud of what we have been able to achieve as a team. God has been good to us. We had some set back times but I will be lying if I tell you I didn’t learn from those setbacks. Those times made me and the team wiser and stronger than ever”.

“I love and believe so much in every single member of my team. That being said; by the power vested in me, with so much fire in my belly, and on behalf of the SUPREME MAVIN DYNASTY, I say to every MAVIN crew out there that #AllisInOrder”.

Since the label inception, it has attracted multi-million naira deals with the likes of Loya Milk Nigeria and SAMSUNG. The latest deal secured in late January is a partnership with Kupanda Holdings, with the aim of creating better opportunities for African music.

Mavins Record was nominated for Best Record Label of the Year at the City People Entertainment Awards in 2013. Later the following year, the record label won the aforementioned category at the 2014 City People Entertainment Awards.

The Record Label has been home to top-notch recording artists such as Korede Bello, Dr. Sid, DNA Twins, Aphrodija, D’Prince, Poe, Jonny Drille and Remain.

Award-winning singer, Tiwa Savage was a member of the label before she got signed by an international global music corporation – Universal Music Group (UMG) – earlier in May.
