Ramsey Nouah is an iconic name not only in the Nigerian movie sphere, Nollywood, but also in Africa as a whole and a global name when it comes to African movies.
He started his acting career starring in the Nigerian TV soap opera “Fortunes” at the age of 23, between 1993 to 1994 and has gone on to act in more than 100 Nollywood films.
Born 19th December, 1970 in Lagos, Nigeria of an Israeli father and a Yoruba mother from Owo, Ondo State in the South Western part of Nigeria, Nouah grew up in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria where he attended Atara Primary School and Community Grammar School, Lagos.

Often called “Lover-Boi” for his roles in romantic movies, Nouah decided to pursue a career in acting after obtaining a diploma at the University of Lagos.
Regarded as one of Africa’s greatest actors of all time, he
featured in a blockbuster movie “Figurine” in 2009 and in 2010 he won the Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
Nouah’s burning desire to add creativity to the growth of Nollywood led to the establishment of his production house “Ramsey Films”
One of the most A-listed actors in Nigeria, Nouah one of the richest & most influential actors in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of over $4.5 million.
He is married to Emelia Philips-Nouah and they are blessed with two sons and a daughter.
