Famous Reggae Artist Shatta Wale Thrills Fans in VGMA20 After Two International Awards

Double blessings came for Shatta Wale after he was honored with awards in Jamaica on Saturday. He successfully shut down Ghana at the VGMA20 on Sunday night.

It was a night to be remembered at the VGMA20 experience concert on Saturday, 12th of May, 2019. At the event, Shatta Wale mounted the stage for hours with nonstop performances.

It was a beautiful night as the sun calmly set into its horizon. The fans at VGMA20 danced till they exhausted their spared energy which was meant for walking home. The one man mopol who deserves the accolades is Shatta Wale; as the fans kept ranting and clamoring for his name.

The multi-talented artist couldn’t stop as it appeared as though he had been filled with the strength of a lion. Jumping from one end to the other, he thrilled the fans with lots of songs and dance moves.

For Shatta Wale, VGMA20 is a night to be remembered. For the fans, it was a night of nights.

The renowned Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah, widely known as Shatta Wale, arrived in a convoy at the Independence grounds to a packed house with thousands of people from different cultures. This congregation witnessed history in its making as Shatta set the VGMA20 Experience Concert ablaze.

There was a total heap of chaos at every joint when the award-winning act sprayed money into the crowd while he performed.

During his performance, Shatta Wale took a break when he told the fans that his favorite artists in Ghana are Jessica Arthur and Medikal.

The mind-blowing moment was when Shatta Wale performed countless tracks on one stage. These spanned from ‘Taking Over’, ‘Wonders’, ‘Thunder Fire’, ‘Amount’, ‘Forget’, ‘Ayoo’, ‘Grinding’, and many others.

Prior to the concert, Shatta Wale was in Pegasus Hotel, Kingston, Jamaica, at the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).

The ‘ayoo’ crooner, after clinching 8 awards at the Awards, got nominated for the Best Afrobeats Entertainer and Best Music Video for his hit song ‘Gringo’, at IRAWMA 2019.

All things seem to be working for the Reggae artist this year, as he won both awards he was nominated for. However, he made this known through his Instagram page as he was delighted. He posted, “The good news is that we have won an award in Jamaica at the 2019 IRAWMA AWARDS nights. In fact, I’m currently speechless, but I will have to thank God for this great honor, and the Shatta movement empire for voting me. Let’s celebrate this award people. It’s a worldwide thing!!!”

Shatta Wale made another tweet as he shared photos of the two awards he won. He appreciated the organizers of IRAWMA, the management team in the US and Jamaica, producers, and all his fans for their unending support.

The International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA), was created in 1982. This award recognizes and honors the achievement and contributions of reggae and world music artists, including songwriters, promoters, musicians and performers.
