Nigerian oil magnate, Femi Otedola has joined the band of billionaire donors towards the fight against the coronavirus pandemic with a pledge of N1 billion towards the cause.

He made the pledge via his twitter handle on Friday, saying “I will be contributing N1 billion towards the eradication of COVID-19 across Nigeria”

Speaking further, Otedola said “the fight to control and eradicate the COVID-19 is in our hands. A few of us have decided to pool resources to support the government’s effort in building the needed capacity to flatten the curve. Stay Home and Stay Safe.”

Nigeria currently has 70 cases of coronavirus cases, with five new cases reported today.
