Mauritania announces squad for 2019 Africa cup of nations

Mauritania has announced its squad for this year’s Africa Cup of Nations, as the country will be making its first-ever appearance.
The French head coach, Corentin Martins, has called up experienced forwards Moulaye Ahmed Khalil and Ismael Diakhite, alongside youngsters Mohamed DellahYali and El Hacen El Id, who plays for Real Valladolid in Spain for the competition.
The rookies will start their campaign against one-time runner up Mali on June 24 before facing 2004 winners Tunisia and Angola in their group.
Mauritania’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt from June 21-July 19 are listed below:
Goalkeeper: Souleimane Brahim, Namori Diaw and, Babacar Diop
Defenders: Abdoul Ba, Bakary Ndiaye, Sally Sarr, Diadie Diarra, Harouna Sy, El Mostapha Diaw, Aly Abeid and, Abdoul Kader Thiam.
Midfielders: Mohamed Dellah Yali, Ibrehima Coulibaly, Dialo Guidileye, Khassa Camara, Alassane Diop, Abdoulaye Gaye, and El Hacen El Id.
Forwards: Adama Ba, Ismael Diakhite, Moulaye Ahmed Khalil, Souleymane Anne and, Hemeya Tanjy.
