Tupac Shakur lost his life after he was hit four times in a drive-by shooting by unknown assailants in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996. It is also not a hidden fact that he gave up the ghost after succumbing to his injuries six days after he was shot while on admission at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC).

His body was cremated the next day. Proven facts as they may be, there have, however, been several conspiracy theories suggesting the rapper is still alive with reports of him being sighted in the United States and other countries.

Adding to the list of conspiracies is yet another fictional movie in the works that suggests the Brenda’s Got A Baby rapper, who is one of the most influential and charismatic musicians in history, escaped the attempt on his life and sought refuge in New Mexico.

“This movie is about Tupac actually escaping from University Medical Center here in Vegas and relocating to New Mexico,” Boss said about the plot in an interview. “Getting protection from the Navajo tribe.”

He added that Tupac got wind of the assassination attempt on his life when he arrived in Vegas to watch the Mike Tyson fight, and then hatched an escape plan which involved having his double ride with Suge Knight in his BMW. He then made a run for it via a private helicopter.

“When certain FBI agencies are looking for you, they are going to block the airport. So you can’t travel out so the best way to escape is through helicopter, private helicopter to another state,” Boss said.

Boss claims the rapper sought refuge with the Navajo people in New Mexico, picking that spot as the perfect hideout because the FBI can’t go to a Native American tribal land without the permission from the tribal council.

A purely fictional story, Boss, however said he wrote the script with the help of Tupac’s family and close associates.

“You can write fiction. You can write fiction stories but this is not fiction. This is a fact through certain people I know,” said Boss, who knows former Pac collaborators G-Money and Snoop Dogg. His father also reportedly knew Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur.

“Let’s just say Mr. Shakur – the family is aware of the movie and they’re okay with the title so that should tell you more or less what’s going on.”

Set to be released in 2021, Richard Garcia plays the legendary rapper in the movie.

“He’s gone but like you said, like his mother said, he lives on through all of us. Through our memories, through our hearts, through our tribute,” Garcia said.
