VSKIT collaborates with Startimes to launch a new TV show, ‘Voice To Fame’

The short video sharing platform, VSKIT announced that it has agreed on a partnership deal with the pay-TV operator, StarTimes, to host the inaugural edition of ‘Voice to Fame,’ a singing competition in Nigeria.

The program “Voice to Fame” will hit television screen soon and will feature eight individuals contesting against some of Nigeria’s top celebrities, for a chance to win the grand prize of $5500.

The Voice to Fame show will also include hilarious re-enactments of rap battles,  lip-synching and classic movies. Popular TV Celebrities such as Mide Martins, Yakubu Mohammed, Nkechi Blessing and Charles Okocha who is popularly referred to as “Igwe 2pac” will also be competing for the prize with the contestants, and this sure guarantees an entertaining and interesting TV experience for the show’s audience.

Speaking at a media briefing, Sean Shu, the Marketing Manager of VSKIT Nigeria, said that the brand is excited to create this new and interesting platform for Africa’s talented youth to exhibit their skills.

Shu noted that as the title sponsor of the ‘Voice to Fame’ competition, VSKIT seeks to provide the right medium for young talents from across Africa with extraordinary vocal skills and star potential to be given a shot at fame. He further added that VSKIT would also continue to nurture and roll-out more talent-focused initiatives, and co-branding campaigns that would birth superstars out of Africa’s budding talents.

The show will consist of 13 episodes and will include four contestants weekly, with viewers and audiences having the chance to vote for their favorite performances.

Contestants who have the highest votes will move on to the next stage, while the contestants with the lowest votes by the end of the week gets evicted from the show.
