Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Yemi Alade, has hinted her fans about the release of her next album titled ‘Woman of steel’. Yemi Eberechi Alade a.k.a Yemi Alade revealed this through her verified Instagram account earlier this week.
She wrote on her Instagram account @yemi_alade, “#WOMANOFSTEEL album out soon #yemialade”.
Yemi Alade, 30, decided to post it on her Instagram account in order to delight her fans and to inform them of her new project.
The album reportedly features Nigerian Celebrity Funke Akindele. It also features renowned music star Duncan Mighty and Grammy Award winner Angelina Kidjo.
A few weeks ago, the afrobeat star released a song ‘Oh My Gosh’ remix, which she featured International rapper, Rick Ross.
The release of ‘Woman of Steel’ would be her fifth album in five years. The last album released in 2017 was named ‘Black Magic’.
Recently, the ‘Mama Johnny’ crooner hit the one hundred million view mark on her YouTube platform. This feat made her the second Nigerian artiste to attain this height, with the first being Davido. She made this feat with the release of the video of her hit single ”Johnny’, in 2014.
Yemi Alade made her musical debut in the group which consists of girls called Noty Spices in 2005. However, her music became widely accepted after she emerged the winner of the Peak Talent Show in 2009.
‘Mama Johnny’ has won several awards. Some of them include the ‘Best African Female Act’ in 2015 and an MTV Awards in 2016. Recently, she won the ‘Best Performer’ at the 2018 edition of the MTV Awards.
