Burna Boy Plans to Dump Social Media Permanently

Popular Afrobeat artiste, Burna Boy, has announced his plans to permanently exit all social media platforms. The Nigerian born artist made this known to the public via his Instagram account. Burna Boy revealed that he would permanently hand over his social handle to his management. Henceforth, it would be used strictly to announce show dates and to promote his music.

He posted on Instagram, “I am exiting all social media platforms permanently. They are now strictly meant for my show dates and new music. My social media accounts will be in full control of my management. Love and positivity to you all. I love you all from my heart”.

This announcement came a few weeks after Davido heralded that he would be going off media plaform for a month to enable him to focus more on concluding his forthcoming album.

In addition to the list of social publication deserters is Nigerian Songstress, Simi. Simi also announced that she may have to delete her Twitter page so that she can fully concentrate on her music.

However, following the ‘Killing Dem’ masters announcement, there have been speculations surrounding Burna Boy’s assertion. People have said that his case might be like Davido and Simi, who have failed to stay true to their words after making those announcements. Fans think that Burna Boy might be unable to stay away as planned.

Reasons for his decision to exit social media were not revealed, other than re-emphasizing love for his fans.
