The Croatian Midfielder Luka Modric has been named the best player of the 2018 FIFA World Cup held in Russia.
The midfielder, who scored two goals in seven games of the tournament, won the Golden Ball prize. “Silver Ball” was received by the midfielder of the Belgian national team Eden Azar (three goals in six games), “Bronze ball” – French striker Antoine Grizmann (four goals in seven games).
The best young player in the tournament was awarded to 19-year-old French striker Kilian Mbappa.
The best goalkeeper at the World Cup “Golden Glove” was awarded to Belgium’s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
