9-year-old Ghanaian DJ honored at the 2019 International African Achievers Merit Awards

Ghana among other nations of the world is said to be blessed with exceptional talents in different industries; Zelda Nana Yaa Adepa Dedaa Manteaw a.k.a DJ Zel is a name to reckon with when shortlisting budding talents, as the young DJ continues to make significant strides in her chosen career.
As part of the waves, the 9-year-old has been honored as an outstanding Disk Jockey (DJ) at the 2019 International African Achievers Merit Awards ceremony held in Accra.
The UK-based Ghanaian DJ was honored and celebrated for excelling in her field of endeavor as she continues to make Ghana and Ghanaians proud on the international level.
After accepting the award, DJ Zel in an interview said, the award would further enhance her morale as she continues to entertain people on the wheels of steel.
”I deeply appreciate the organizers for recognizing my hard work and efforts. It has not been an easy task but gradually I keep making progress in my field and I hope someday I would make Ghana proud,” she said.
”I also dedicate this award to my parents and my fans who have offered me painstaking support in my early career and to my management, Zel Promotions,” she added.
The young DJ who is also endowed with versatile qualities which include singing and dancing is currently on a visit to Ghana, embarking on an initiative on education and sensitization on numerous environmental problems and other charity works.
The young international act musical journey was discovered in 2017 when she sang at school in class two (2).
Thereafter, DJ Zel began her career in November 2018 and received her DJ training at the Subbass Academy of Electronic Music in Westminster and also currently receiving DJ lessons at London Sounds Academy, North West London in other to enhance her skills.
At a very tender age, DJ Zel is signed as the official DJ to perform on the popular entertainment UnAfrik Show on GN Radio based in the UK and airs every Saturday from 10 pm to 12 am.
Upon penning this deal, she became the youngest female DJ who plays on a radio station.
