I cannot trade music for anything else – Timaya
It doesn’t come as a surprise to many to see artistes after hitting the limelight during their peak dump music craft for another career. Dem Mama Records Boss Timaya has declined such claims that he might end up in the league. The Nigerian singer has vowed to do music till his last breath.
Describing the achievement he has made via his music career so far during a live chat with the press, the self-styled ‘Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa’, stated that he cannot trade music for anything in this world.
“I’m more grateful than satisfied,” he said. “It’s been quite an experience so far; I wouldn’t trade music for anything.”
He further said that the most important thing he has ever done for himself is making an effort to continuously learn new things that would help in developing his craft and equally make him a better person.
“I think the most important thing I have done for myself would be constantly learning and developing myself”, he said.
Commenting on his latest release, an EP titled ‘Chulo Vibes’, he described it as a collection of music which best describes the Timaya brand.
“Chulo Vibes is an EP with 9- tracks, including The Mood’, Pull Up’, ‘Balance’ and more. It is a collection of songs that I can say best defines my brand, sound, and I. I am all about good energy; positive living, love, being thankful always, and you can hear all this on, not just the EP, but all my music.”
He revealed that ‘Balance’, one of the track off the EP is a true representation of his current status in life.
“Balance’ is a representation of where I am currently in life. I have a good life, a great career, my family is doing good. I am very grateful for that and I hope it encourages people to stay thankful too. ‘Balance’ is that feel good song; you can play and listen to anytime, anywhere”, he concluded.
