Dami Adenuga Shares His Experience Working with Tonto Dikeh, D’Banj and Slimcase

The glory of every communication is to tolerate each other for better understanding. However, it’s often said that some musicians have bad characters. They come from different parts of the country with their indigenous forms and characters. There are good ones and bad ones. Living, working, and relating with them is not exactly a stroll in the park. This is what hotshot artist manager, PR expert, and the head of Dami Adenuga World had to learn the hard way.
During an interview with Potpourri, he shared his experience working with some top artistes. Specifically, he named top actress Tonto Dikeh; and self-acclaimed Otunba Lamba, Slimcase; as some of those who have been delightful to work with.
“I have enjoyed working with the likes of Slimcase and Tonto Dikeh, D’Banj. But Slimcase is my major artiste. The guy is disciplined, talented, hardworking, matured, innovative and very passionate about business”. Furthermore, he maintained that not all artistes are difficult to handle.
“Firstly, l take my time to understand their personalities, even before the business relationship. Then, I switch to the appropriate game with them in correspondence to their brands. So far, it has been difficult and great. However, dealing with artistes and their business is a part of the job “, he added.
Speaking on the issue of drugs and internet fraud which have turned to another source of income to some artistes, Adenuga said only a few engage in them. Hence, he added that it was wrong to generalize with figures and facts.

“The truth is, wherever the good lies, the bad also will be in such vicinity. Such is life. But it’s a wrong view to come to the conclusion that all Nigerian artistes are the same. The music industry is self-sustaining if you are a star. There are various artistes who are legit and making cool money in their craft. The music business is a good business”.
