Museum of the African Circle Opened in Congo

The Museum of the African Circle – Congo’s artists have been handed a lifeline as the government has opened a museum essentially to promote the works of local artists. The exhibition at the
The Museum of the African Circle, as it is called, in Pointe-Noire,Congo, is targeted at young African artists.
Samuel Mabanza, curator of the museum and a director at the Ministry of Culture and Arts says the main goal is to promote local crafts and offer greater visibility for these art works.
“If you live or pass by Pointe-Noire do not hesitate to stop there”, he quipped.
The Museum which opens from Tuesday to Sunday at a rate of 500 fcfa, is a Macon fcient edifice where artists can also meet with visitors.
