Vodacom launches iot products
Vodacom has launched a range of internet of things products that will enable customers to connect and monitor their compatible home and leisure iot devices to the vodacom dedicated global iot network using a dedicated iot v-sim.
The dedicated consumer iot sim or “v-sim” is provided with all cellular v by vodacom devices and sold at vodacom stores.
It can also be purchased on their own as sim-only subscriptions for those customers who want to connect their existing consumer iot devices.

The smartphone app, “v by vodafone” provides customers with a single, intuitive overview of its products and sim.
Also, only iot subscriptions registered to their account and there is a fixed monthly price plan for each product connected by a v-sim.
Vodacom intends to use iot as a purposeful tool to address locally relevant consumer needs. v by vodacom, as a product suite is expected to drive up the use of iot in the country, enabling vodacom to connect millions of south africans for a better future.
