Ex-Churchill and popular comedienne Teacher Wanjiku has agreed on terms to be the new brand ambassador for DADA (Dare to Aspire Dare to Achieve) by Stanbic Bank.

DADA is a new program organized by the bank that provides women with financial and non-financial solutions like networking, education opportunities that will empower and grow them.

Am elated Wanjiku posted on her social media, “Am happy To Announce Am the New Brand Ambassador for ‘Dada’ by Stanbic Bank. My New home. Excited about This New Journey.”

Apart from clinching the ambassadorial deal, Wanjiku will also be fêted in the USA on 6th of July, 2019 for being “The Most Influential Woman in Her Time’.

“Yassssssss! Dear Fans I want to thank you for walking with me on this journey, I will be receiving this prestigious Award in Seattle Washington. I will Also be Crowning Miss Kenya USA Winner, I am humbled. Thank you, God,” her other post reads.

This new deal and honor in the USA are just some of the few good things that have been occurring to Teacher Wanjiku in times past following her comeback after her career took a halt.

The comedienne had a few years of setback after her exit from Churchill to start her own show on Citizen TV. Her show at Citizen TV was launched at the same time Anne Kansiime debuted hers so expectations were on the rise. 

Unfortunately, her show flopped and was sent to an early grave after releasing one episode despite the hype it had generated.

After the untimely death of her show, rumors spread on the street that Teacher Wanjiku had tried negotiating a return to Churchill but both parties never came to an agreement.

Notwithstanding, despite her setback, Teacher Wanjiku dry bones have gotten a life and become one of the most bankable female comedians of our time.

Reports have it that, in January 2019 Teacher Wanjiku appeared on the show that first gave her popularity, Churchill Show. Her comeback to the stage left audience wondering if she is back to the show. Teacher Wanjiku has now cleared the air by revealing that she is not back on the show but will be always honoring the invitation when she gets invited.

“I love the fact that I got to make Churchill show as my home and Churchill always has a place for me. Am thankful for the respect we both have for each other and the support he shows me even after my resignation. I never take Churchill Show for granted,” she disclosed on Parents Magazine.
